The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create a
job placement for 16 to 24 year olds.
Passion HR (Passion4Training) intends to set up a Kickstart Partnership
for employers within the Health and Social Care Sector.

We want to support young people to have an opportunity to work within the Health and Social Care Sector and we want to support employers to be able to do this by providing our Kickstart Care Certificate Initiative & Employability Support Scheme.
There is a One-Off Grant per placement, and this will be £1500.00 for the employer, however this one-off grant is for the young person’s training and other admin costs.
We provide 6 months support for the employer and 8 months support for the young person. We will assign a mentor to deliver and assess the full care certificate and support the young person with their employability skills which involves Writing a CV, Career Advice, personal mentor, workshops, preparing for interviews, interviewing techniques. We will provide aftercare for the young person to apply for jobs and any other additional support needs for a further 2 months as expected by the Kickstart Support Scheme.
If you would like to have this support then the Kickstart Scheme allows for the employer to share the grant with a training provider therefore we will charge £750 which can be deducted from the One-Off Grant with your agreement to support you the employer and the young person by providing our Kickstart Care Certificate Training and Employability Support Scheme for 8 months.
The Kickstart scheme provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people between the ages of 16 to 24 year olds who are in receipt of Universal Credit or at risk of Long-Term Unemployment.

What can you expect as the employer from the Kickstart Scheme?

– 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months

– Associated Employer National Insurance Contributions

– Employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions

– One Off grant of £1500 per placement to help with training and other admin costs or £750.00 if you choose us to deliver our Kickstart Care Certificate Training and Employability Support Scheme.

However, to access the Kickstart Scheme directly employers must be able to offer a minimum of 30 placements. Alternatively, the Kickstart Scheme allows employers to join together to offer the necessary 30 placements with a 3rd party such as ourselves providing the administration.

What do I do next?

If you would like to be involved and can offer a minimum of 1 placement for a young person aged 16-24 years old for a minimum of 25 hours per week then please complete our online application.
As we can only make the application on your behalf once we have gathered some information regarding your care organisation.

Complete Placement Application
Once we receive your application, we will then review your information to see if your placement meets the scheme criteria. Once we have received 30 placements, we will make a grant application.
Please bear in mind we are only going to be providing a maximum of 48 Kickstart Care Certificate Training and Employability Support Scheme programmes at this current time therefore applications that want our training and employability support will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
We need some information regarding the vacancy you have, and it must be new and created just for this scheme.

The job placements must not:
